Practice setting: Emergency Department (80 beds, Level 2 Trauma Center)

Types of cases: High acuity emergency care, no pediatric cases, 30% admissions

Volume: 105,000 annual visits

# of cases per hour: 2.8 patients per hour

EMR: Meditech

Requirements: Proof of prior ATLS certification (even if expired), current ACLS and PALS certifications from approved organizations (American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety and Health Institute)

Additional Notes:

80 hours physician coverage/40 hours MLP coverage daily
