SMART is actively recruiting for emergency medicine locum physicians for coverage in Independence, MO . Coverage is needed as soon as credentialed.

Shifts:

• Phys Shifts: 6a-4p, 9a-7p, 1p-11p, 5p-3a, 8p-6a
• APP Shifts: 6a-4p, 8a-8p, 11a-11p, 6p-6a
• Minimum shifts p/month: 4

Details Include:

• 65,000 annual patient visits
• Level II Trauma Center
• 45 ED beds (285 Total Beds)
• Rapid Care Unit open 24/7

• 55-hours physician coverage; 9 & 10-hour shifts
• 47-hours APP coverage; 12-hour shifts
• Dedicated Nocturnist
• Meditech EMR

Requirements:

• • Residency: Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency program in Emergency Medicine.
    
  • Board Certification: Board certified or board eligible (with achievement of certification within 3 years) leading to certification in EM by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM).
    • ABPS Board Certification not accepted.
  • Life Certifications:
    • NIHSS required for all
    • ACLS, ATLS, PALS and BLS required for any EM Board Eligible physician.
  • Immunizations: PPD/FLU/COVID
  • CME: 24 months
  • CASE LOGS: 24 months
