Under the direction of a registered nurse or team leader, provides general nursing care to patients. Attends to the general health care and comfort of the patient; observes and records treatment and patient progress and reports to practitioner patient’s condition or reaction. Administers prescribed medications. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Performs clerical nursing duties such as, but not limited to, patient referral scheduling, pharmacy coordination, and prior authorizations. Refills medications as necessary or instructed by provider. Triages patients for appropriate treatment, provides education to the patient in regards to condition. Makes patient phone calls in regards to diagnostic testing results, laboratory results, or patient questions. Maintains clean rooms. May perform CLIA waived laboratory procedures, ekg’s and pft’s.

Preferred
Education:
Graduate from an accredited school of Licensed Practical Nursing.
Current Arkansas LPN licensure from the Arkansas State Board of Nursing.
Experience:
Completion of clinical rotation.
Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification:
Must maintain BLS certification
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
Computer proficiency.
Excellent customer service.
Must adhere to and support the Mission, Vision, Values of NARMC and adhere to its Standards of Behavior.
- Cares for and treats patients in the clinic as directed by the provider staff
- Prepares patients for and assists with examinations.
- Administers injections and medications.
- Dresses wounds and incisions, removes simple sutures and staple and other minor procedures as supervision allows.
- Interprets provider staff instructions to patient.
- Maintains records of vital statistics and other pertinent data of the patient.
- Maintains stock of supplies.
- May conduct specified lab tests, perform electrocardiograms, or pulmonary function testing.
- Maintains patient rooms, ensuring cleanliness and stocking at a level preferred by provider.
- May act as a receptionist, perform secretarial duties, and assist with monthly statements under the direction of the office personnel.

Education:
