About this role:
As a physician in Critical Care Medicine, you will work in Cardiovascular Critical Care as an equal member of a multi-disciplinary team supporting advanced therapies for complex critically ill patients, including cardiac surgery, thoracic surgery, vascular surgery, cardiac transplant, temporary and durable mechanical circulatory support, including VA ECMO and VV ECMO, and all cardiology subspecialties. Additionally, coverage includes care of critically ill mixed medical patients with sepsis, shock, respiratory failure, and hemorrhage.
We are looking for a Critical Care Intensivist with a strong background (2+ years) in CV Critical Care to work at Intermountain Medical Center, the premier academic medical center and flagship quaternary hospital for Intermountain Health. This state-of-the-art facility currently has 96 ICU beds and 4 specialized ICUs, and is in process of expanding. Intermountain Medical Center is ranked #1 in the United States for MI survival treatment, is an ELSO Center of Excellence, and is a Three Star STS Cardiac Surgery Hospital.

- Practicing at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah
- Coverage will be concentrated in the Cardiac Surgery ICU and Cardiology ICU, providing 24-hour in-house coverage
- 16 weeks of ICU shifts annually, including 3-4 night shifts per month; 1,825 hours annually
- No call expectation
- Potential for partial Pulmonary or Anesthesiology or Emergency Medicine FTE for qualified candidates
- Academic appointment with protected time may be available for qualified candidates
- Potential for Medical Director of Temporary Mechanical Circulator Support leadership role for qualified and interested candidates: Medical Director, Mechanical Circular Support, Canyons Region
- This position includes a sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, training stipend and student loan repayment when applicable

What you’ll bring:
- MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
- Residency training in Internal Medicine or Anesthesia or Emergency Medicine
- Board certification or eligibility in Critical Care Medicine
- Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one
- Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
- We are not able to accept candidates requiring Visa sponsorship at this time
