Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emergency medical care to a diverse patient population with various acute medical conditions.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to develop effective treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and advanced practitioners to ensure optimal patient care delivery.
  • Perform necessary procedures and interpret diagnostic tests linked to patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families about health conditions and treatment options.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall efficiency of the emergency department.
  • Participate in mentoring junior medical staff and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Requirements
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution.
  • Board certification in Emergency Medicine preferred; eligibility considered for those in training.
  • Current and unrestricted medical license in the state of New York.
  • Experience in emergency medicine is highly desirable.
  • Current certifications in ACLS, ATLS, and PALS required.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-stress and dynamic clinical environments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient engagement.
  • Commitment to professional development and excellence in patient care.
