Acclaim Multi-Specialty Group and JPS Health Network are looking for a full time Psychiatrist to join the Department of Behavioral Health team at our new Psychiatric Emergency Center starting Summer 2025.

The new Psychiatric Emergency Center, on the southwest side of the campus along Allen Street at South Jennings, is the only one in Tarrant County and will have three times the number of care spaces than our current facility. A highly skilled team of Psychiatrists, Advanced Practice Providers, nurses, social workers and support personnel provide 24 hour-a-day, 7 day-a-week services for people in mental health crisis, both voluntary and involuntary services.

The Psychiatric Emergency Center provides patient-centered care for all individuals who present for evaluation. The multidisciplinary team assesses the person and their situation to coordinate care for the best possible treatment plan.

Job Details:
Psychiatric Triage
Psychiatric Evaluation
Short term interventions including observation, monitoring and stabilization of acute crisis
Referral services that meet the needs of the individual person
Evaluation for admission to an Acute Inpatient Units

Schedule:
Full Time - 12 hour shifts (8:00 - 8:00). Must be flexible to work days/night/weekends

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:
• Previous experience working in a PEC as a student or faculty member preferred, but not required
• Current Medical Doctor (M.D) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree from an accredited school of medicine.
• Residency and/or Fellowship training within specialty

Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:
• Current, unrestricted medical license to practice in the State of Texas.
• Board Certification or Board Eligible in Psychiatry

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must be comfortable working in a large public/county facility
Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge in area assigned, and competency in assessment techniques, diagnosis and treatment processes that apply to the assigned medical specialty area
Must have good interpersonal, verbal and oral communication skills
Must be self-directed and take initiative to develop and participate in community activities and medical outreach
Must be able to demonstrate patient centered/patient valued behavior
A commitment to medical education, including teaching and training medical and graduate students, house staff, and fellows
A commitment to lead and support efforts to enhance the climate of diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects
