WVU Medicine is currently seeking an Emergency Medicine/Hospitalist physician located at our Braxton County Memorial Hospital in Gassaway, WV. Enjoy the team atmosphere of a 9,000 visit per year ED while providing limited hospitalist services with some specialty backup. Tertiary support from the West Virginia University Health System is nearby while the site utilizes the same EPIC EMR. The Department of Emergency Medicine has over 100 full-time members across diverse practice sites. There are additional career opportunities for Emergency Medicine physicians looking for a variety of clinical experiences anchored by an academic affiliation to WVU's School of Medicine.
Qualified applicants must have an MD, MD/PhD or DO degree (the employer accepts foreign educational equivalent) and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted medical license. Candidates must have completed an accredited residency program and be board-certified or board-eligible via a recognized board within ABMS.
