Emergency Physician

Emergency Physicians of Indianapolis, P.C. is a small democratic group that was formed in 1990.  We staff two Franciscan hospitals (Indianapolis and Mooresville); we have had these contracts since their inception and are well-integrated into the medical staff and hospital community.  We have 21 physician partners (many fellow IUEM alums) with 16 excellent full-time PAs.  We offer full medical/dental/vision benefits, both a traditional 401k as well as Profit Sharing 401k plan, and have a competitive partnership track.  Full time equates to roughly fifteen 8-9 hour shifts per month.  We offer very flexible scheduling and a night-shift differential as well.

     Franciscan Indianapolis is a level 3 trauma center, stroke center, and tertiary referral center on the south side of Indy.  It is 15 minutes from downtown and located right next to I-65.  We see roughly 65k patients/year here, have 24/7 XR/CT/MRI/US, and have access to most subspecialties (including cath lab and NeuroIR for thrombectomy).  Shifts are 8-9 hours, with double to triple coverage for 18 hours per day.

     Franciscan Mooresville is located about 25 minutes southwest of downtown Indy and sees 25-30k patients/year.  Physician shifts are 8 hours and single covered, with 3 PA shifts during the day and evening hours.  Hospitalists are in-house 24/7 with OB, cardiology, pulmonary, and neuro coverage during the day.  XR and CT are 24/7 with US/MRI during the day (and on call at night).  Both departments use Epic with Dragon Dictation and have access to POCUS with PACS integration.  Scribes are available at Indy.  We host medical and APP students from several schools, and also get the opportunity to teach FM residents. Board Eligible/Certified Emergency Medicine physicians only.
