Emergency Physician

Full time EP position will be opening up at Monadnock Community Hospital starting next Spring. MCH is a small community hospital and is designated critical access. 

We are a small, primarily local, democratically run physician group working solely for MCH and looking for a full time or 3/4 time ED physician (ABEM or IM/FP boarded with experience) for 12 hour shifts in this moderately busy community hospital ED. 12 hour mid-level coverage. Census @ 13,500. Regionally competetive salary and benefits. One year partnership track. Hospital and group leadership positions available.

We are very accommodating to schedule requests and can easily accommodate folks who want to take 2, 3 even 4 weeks off at a time for vacation. We favor good and thorough patient care over statistics. Full time is considered 11-12 shifts/mo, but our docs receive prorated benefits as some taper down towards retirement. We have several 8-9 shifts/mo docs, and that workload for a new doc would work for us as well. 

This is a great place to step out of the tertiary care slugfest and get back in touch with people and the practice of good medicine. Our philosophy is simply that patients should leave the ED feeling they were well cared for. As it is critical access, limited resources can be a source of frustration. But, at the same time, the pace and pressure will not burn anybody out. The patient population skews elderly. 

The Monadnock region is a great place to live  -  it is a wooded rural region with all types of outdoor recreation, small New England towns, and open space.
