Physician Requirements:

• Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine
• Completion of an accredited Emergency Medicine residency program
• Proven clinical skills and knowledge in the management of acute medical and traumatic emergencies
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong decision-making and prioritization skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, promoting effective collaboration and teamwork
• Commitment to delivering patient-centered care with a focus on quality and safety

Position Profile:

• 50,000 annual visits
• 30-bed ED
• 38 hours of physician coverage
• 38 hours of Advanced Practice Provider coverage
• Level IV Trauma Center
• Independent Contractor status

Northeast Methodist is a newly expanded 160 bed facility located in a fast growing region on Bexar County. The hospital offers cutting-edge technology and a highly skilled, innovative team. Some of the medical specialties include: Advanced cardiovascular care, Neurosurgery, Orthopedic and joint replacement surgeries, and Inpatient rehabilitation. Northeast Methodist is recognized by the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association as a Certified Primary Stroke Center; the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care (SCPC) as an Accredited Chest Pain Center; and by the American Nurses Credentialing Center for having a Pathway to Excellence Program.
