Providence Medical Center (PMC) is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our team!  This is a unique chance to make a significant impact on patient care by providing high-quality healthcare services to our community.

Responsibilities:

  • Covering the emergency department, clinic, and hospital according to the employment agreement, with the support of a supervising physician, including one-on-one training and charting review.
  • Functioning independently at the highest level of practice, the APP will provide medical services including, but not limited to, assessment, stabilization, diagnosis, treatment, and health education to patients with regards to age-specific populations including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics in the emergency department, clinic, and hospital setting.
  • Collaborating with hospital personnel to promote quality care for our patients, assuring the appropriate referrals are made for them.

Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a Master of Nursing or Physician Assistant (PA) program or higher.
  • Hold a current license to practice as an APP in the state of Nebraska.
  • Demonstrated competency as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or PA.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, critical thinking skills, and the ability to work with a team.

Previous emergency or critical care experience is preferred. All providers are required to have BLS and ACLS certifications. PALS and ATLS certifications are required within six months of hire. Providers are also required to have a DEA license.
