The Valley Medical Group is part of the Valley Health System. Valley Medical Group (VMG) is a multispecialty group practice comprised of physicians and advanced practice providers representing more than 50 medical and surgical specialties. VMG brings together experts in primary care, pediatrics, oncology, cardiology, obstetrics & gynecology, and various medical and surgical specialties. Valley Medical Group (VMG) has 1,159 employees, including nearly 350 physicians and over 150 advanced practice practitioners representing more than 50 medical and surgical specialties. The Valley Hospital is one of the busiest hospitals with 431 beds, approximately 46,000 admissions annually, over 70,000 patients treated in the Emergency Department, and over 3,500 babies born. The Hospital's primary service area includes 32 towns in northwestern Bergen County, home to over 460,000 people, and it has expanded its footprint well beyond that area. The construction of The New Valley Hospital, due to be completed in late 2023, will be a 900,000-square-foot state-of-the-art healthcare destination site on a 40-acre campus in Paramus.

Position Summary:

Valley Medical Group is seeking a full-time, Licensed, Board-Certified Cardiac Intensivist to join its growing team. Valley Health System provide the full spectrum of cardiovascular services and they are more than heart doctors. They're partners, allies and support to their patients. Cardiac Intensivist will work alongside their expert colleagues in other specialties such as cardiac surgery, structural heart, electrophysiology, and interventional cardiology. Cardiac Intensivist will provide and maintain a high level of quality of care for all post procedural patients in need of cardiac critical care services. Coverage includes patients transferred to the Cardiac Step-Down Unit (Bergen A2), Conventional post open heart patients, Thoracic surgical patients admitted to the post-procedure, patients undergoing TAVR, MitraClip, all structural and EP patients admitted for ASD closure, Watchman, Lariat procedures, Hybrid atrial fibrillation ablation, Shock Patients. Ideal candidate will be hardworking, flexible, team player, motivated with excellent communication, critical thinking, analytical, and relationship-building skills looking to assist with program growth with a willingness for a broad scope of practice to meet the needs of the medical group and the community at large.

Position requirement:

A degree in Medicine or Osteopathy is required. An unrestricted license to practice medicine in New Jersey is required

Board Certification in Cardiology and Critical Care is required

Maintains CME credit hours as required for Board Certification and/or hospital staff privileges

Maintains up-to-date credentials, including CV, License, DEA, CDS, Board Certification, and documentation of Hospital admitting privileges
