Job Details

Live and work in the beautiful mountains of Vermont. Our energetic and engaged group is seeking a new provider.  This is an employed 0.8 FTE position, with a 20% salary differential for a full-time nocturnist. 

 ABEM Board Certified Emergency Physician with at least two years of clinical experience preferred.  EM residency trained,  Board Eligible physicians will certainly be considered, must be within 5 years of completion of residency with plans to become boarded.

Paid vacation annually, 5% of worked time, increases to 8% with 5 years of service. Generous Malpractice, Health, Dental, and Disability benefits/ insurance, 403b with hospital match, Defined Contribution retirement account, college savings accounts, and tax-deferred earnings program

9 hour shifts; Full-time physician covers 14 shifts per month.  45 hours of MD coverage per day. 20 hours of APP coverage per day.

Annual volume 32,000. 26 bed state of the art department. 24-hour radiology and lab services available.

Robust ultrasound program (Zonaire).

Level III-equivalent Trauma Center.   Tertiary care center support by either Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, University of Vermont Medical Center, or Albany Medical Center with ground or helicopter transport available

The hospital is licensed for 144 beds.  Service area 85,000.

Charts reviewed by dedicated Emergency Department Coders.

Cerner EMR.
