EMERGENCY MEDICINE PHYSICIAN
University of Pittsburgh Physicians seeks an Emergency Medicine Physician to work in New Castle, PA (Lawrence County). Diagnose and treat life-threatening injuries, illnesses, and ailments in a hospital emergency room setting; provide care to patients of all ages and assess and treat a variety of diseases and disorders, including severe infection, heart attack, stroke, trauma, mental anguish, and other acute conditions; resuscitate, stabilize, and transition emergency patients to appropriate endpoints; update patient records and ensure that patients are stable before transferring them to the proper department for further evaluation; and prescribe medication, order diagnostic tests and review test results to identify abnormal findings, and refer patients to medical specialists, as necessary. Must have a Medical degree or equivalent; must have completed a residency in Emergency Medicine; must be Board certified or eligible for certification in Emergency Medicine; must have a valid PA medical license.
