Job Description
URGENT CARE PHYSICIAN, MIT Medical (two part-time openings), to provide direct patient care to MIT Medical patients. Will assess a patient's health status through interview and physical exam and synthesizes this clinical information to formulate health status, diagnosis, development of plan of care and treatment, implementation of treatment plan, and evaluation of follow-up strategies according to age-specific plans of care. The work is done in accordance with MIT Medical policies and state and federal rules, regulations, and standards of care. Will also provide health education, supportive counseling, and clinical outreach to the MIT community in collaboration with other individuals/services at MIT Medical and across the MIT community. MIT Medical, an accredited ambulatory care center serving the health and wellness needs of the MIT community, conducts approximately 120,000-plus visits annually and is proud to continue a tradition of caring for the Institute community that spans more than a century. Its clinical offerings encompass more than twenty specialties, including dental, eye, adult primary care, pediatrics, mental health, obstetrics, and gynecology. It also provides occupational and employee health services, community wellness programs, and seven-day-a-week urgent care.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: MD or DO from an accredited medical school; completion of family medicine or emergency medicine residency program with an accredited U.S. institution; board certification or board eligibility in family or emergency medicine; licensed independent practitioner in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; current license to practice without restriction; board certification in specialty (if appropriate); current provider card in basic life support (advanced cardiac life support preferred); valid MA license, MA CSR, and federal DEA; and clinical experience and demonstrated competence in urgent care or emergency medicine.
