Highland Hospital, located in Oakland, California, is the largest facility of Alameda Health System which serves a diverse patient population in California's East Bay Area. As a provider of care to all patients, regardless of their ability to pay for services, we provide quality, accessible care to our community's most vulnerable patients. The Urgent Care clinic located at Highland Hospital offer a wide range of Urgent Care services. It is designed to off-load lower acuity cases from our busy ER and also to offer urgent evaluation to patients who could not otherwise be seen by their primary care providers. Urgent Care often also serves as an entry point for patients who are new to our system. Our patient population is diverse and we are currently open during business hours six days a week. Patients can either schedule same day appointments or walk in. As a hospital based clinic, we have a host of resources not available to most Urgent Care centers. This includes access to in-person consults from specialists, strong ER backup for high acuity cases, and good integration with our primary care clinics. Our providers and staff are dedicated to our patients and would love to welcome others who share our mission!
We are currently recruiting for a Services As Needed (per diem) Board Eligible or Certified (Adult, Family or Emergency Medicine) to join our team. SANs support our providers with coverage and same-day needs and applicants should be available for occasional Saturday shifts. If you are interested in this opportunity, we encourage you to apply!
