Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC) partners with Midwestern University to offer our Emergency Medicine Residency Program, accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. KRMC is the only rural hospital in Arizona with an Emergency Medicine Residency Program. Here, future emergency physicians gain vital experience in a unique rural environment. This program offers high-volume, high-acuity training in an unopposed residency setting, allowing residents to build skills in a range of emergency medicine-based procedures.

Description
The Residency Program Director for Emergency Medicine is a key member of the Department of Emergency Medicine reporting to the Director of Medical Education and Research. In this role, the Program Director is responsible for the administration of our established Emergency Medicine Residency Program. Our residency is a 3-year format and has 18 residents (6/yr). The department has extensive educational support including: medical simulation laboratory, cadaver labs, wilderness medicine education, & ultrasound Education. GME department is supported by 6 Faculty Members and APD. The clinical time commitment will be in the Emergency Department (ED) at KRMC. Our ED sees approximately 54,000 patients annually.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree with board certification in Emergency Medicine.
- Experience in administration/educational leadership positions and teaching residents.
- Strong organizational and managerial skills.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively & work with members of the academic & clinical community.
- Strong service orientation and commitment to teamwork.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in interpersonal and group communication that reflect a commitment to cultural diversity.
- Evidence of scholarly works and research experience.
Prior GME experience preferred.
