Position description

The Department of Critical Care Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Arizona is seeking a fellowship-trained Critical Care physician. Candidates must be ABA, ABEM, ABIM, or ABS critical care medicine board-certified or board-eligible. Candidates residency training may be in internal medicine, anesthesia, emergency medicine, or surgery. Additional training in subspecialties like Cardiology, Infectious Diseases, nephrology etc is welcome. Candidate should have experience in multidisciplinary critical care.

The ICU at Mayo Clinic in Arizona is a vigorous 30 bed unit that cares for a broad spectrum of medical and surgical critical illnesses in support of a quarternary hospital. This is poised for a major expansion with addition of 18 new beds over the next 2 years. Skill sets related to the complex ICU care of solid organ transplant patients, stem cell transplant patients, cardiovascular surgery and advanced heart failure patients, ECMO, neurosciences critical care, and medical-surgical critical care are expected. This academic position involves active participation in education, research, quality improvement and clinical practice. Candidates must have a strong commitment to an academic career in critical care medicine.
