  • 13K annual ED volume
  • 78 hospital beds
  • 1.2 patients per hour
  • 11/13-hour shifts (7 am - 6 pm; 6 pm - 7 am )
  • 24-hour physician coverage daily
  • 8-hour NP/PA coverage (Fri-Tues)
  • EMR: Medhost


Facility Information

Russell County Hospital is a not-for-profit, 78-bed hospital dedicated to bringing quality healthcare to Southwest Virginia. As a community hospital it offers a full array of primary care and some specialty services, including behavioral health. The hospital is certified as one of the American Heart Association's Get with the Guidelines facilities and is accredited by The Joint Commission.

Community Description

The Town of Lebanon is located in the 'Heart of Southwest Virginia' and serves as the county seat for Russell County. Almost two centuries old, the town offers small town living, a friendly community, plenty of local amenities, and low cost of living. Lebanon is about 2.5 hours southwest of Roanoke and 3.5 hours northwest of Charlotte, North Carolina.
