Description
Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Emory University are hiring board-eligible/certified pediatric emergency physicians and board-certified pediatricians to meet the clinical and academic needs of our growing department.
We currently employ 38 Pediatric Emergency physicians, 16 Urgent Care physicians, 9 Advanced Practice Providers and 11 fellows training in pediatric emergency medicine, urgent care medicine and point of care ultrasound. We provide an excellent work environment, with the latest in technology, electronic medical record, voice recognition dictation software and excellent subspecialty support. We pride ourselves on maintaining a healthy balance between academics and clinical work with productivity in each area being appropriately recognized and rewarded.
Job expectations are highly individualized and range from full-time clinicians who excel at bedside teaching to clinical researchers with bridge funds to support research. Research and teaching activities are supported with protected time and cultivated through strong affiliations with the Departments of Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine, the Rollins School of Public Health, the Center for Disease Control and the Marcus Center. We offer a competitive compensation packet with bonus potential, manageable workloads, shift differentials and flexible scheduling. About our facilities:
Children's is one of the largest pediatric clinical care providers in the country with 575 licensed beds, more then 920,000 patient visits, 26,000 hospital admissions and 40,000 surgical procedures annually. Our physicians staff the ED's at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston (>70,000 patients/year) and Hughes Spalding (>60,000 patients/year). Volumes have been increasing at a rate of 5-10% every year. Egleston is the only Level 1 pediatric trauma center in the state of Georgia.
