Acute Care and Trauma Surgeon Opportunity in Raleigh / Cary, NC
Due to area growth we have an outstanding career opportunity in our 200+ bed state-of-the-art facility located in our modern Cary, North Carolina hospital. A Level III Trauma Center with a goal of Level II designation, makes this an even more dynamic role for the surgeon seeking a top tier position within their profession.
An appropriate candidate will be fellowship trained in Surgery Critical Care with at least 3-5 years-experience in Acute Care Surgery and Trauma. Expectations are a blend of inpatient and ED management with general and trauma patients. Additional opportunities for elective surgeries are available.
Leadership interest will be integral to the position with plans for starting a Surgical Critical Care Service in an established medical-surgical ICU currently covered by Medical Intensivists. There will be an opportunity for assuming the Trauma Directorship role. Support will be available from at least 5-6 additional general, specialty or acute care surgeons in the group, some of whom are Cary based and others who rotate from the main Raleigh based WakeMed facility (which is a Level I Trauma Center). With one of the top APP programs in the country; experienced APP support is readily available and core to the success of this team.
