Hillsboro Medical Center is seeking a full-time, board-certified/board-eligible Pulmonary and Critical Care Physician to join its team in Hillsboro, Oregon. Hillsboro Medical Center is a not-for-profit health system and an Oregon Health and Science University partner whose mission is building a healthier community by bringing quality clinical care and unparalleled service to our region, in partnership with our patients, physicians and health care professionals.

In this 1.0 FTE position you will be splitting time between providing outpatient pulmonology services at the clinic for a wide spectrum of pulmonary diseases, inpatient pulmonary consults, and providing coverage in a mixed medical, surgical ICU.

Requirements
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine
  • Unrestricted Oregon MD or DO license or the ability to obtain an unrestricted license
  • ACGME Residency graduate

Provides comprehensive medical care to all patients served. Performs all duties in a manner, which promotes a team concept and reflects the organization’s mission and vision.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES -

Performed majority of the time -- :

• Physician shall cooperate in the establishment of procedures and methods of operation for the office, maintaining in good standing medical staff privileges including attendance at required meetings.

• Performs and document assessments and data collection in an ongoing, timely, accurate, concise and systematic manner.

• Physician shall render professional services in the office designated and provided by the hospital in accordance with the Physician Employment Agreement.

• Identifies patients and/or significant other’s learning needs and implements appropriate measure to meet these.

• Adapts care to accommodate unexpected changes in patient status.

• Promotes accident prevention and reports potential safety hazards.

• Renders all services promptly and diligently in accordance with the professional and ethical standards of the medical community in which the physician practices.

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine

• Maintains Oregon licensure.

• Fulfills requirements of hospital medical staff credentialing process.

• Maintains active staff membership in good standing with the medical staff of the hospital with all privileges and responsibilities accorded such membership.
