Salary: $225,000 - $255,000 per year

Our Medical Centers offer Workman's Compensation services including minor injury treatment, orthopedic assessments, and employee support.

Our locations in Oshkosh, WI and Temple, TX are opening in 2023 and are in need of a strong physician trained in either Emergency Medicine or Urgent care (preferably because of the patient volume, but will also consider Internal Medicine or Family Practice) to see patients and collaborate with employers like Amazon to care for patients injured on the job.

Job Details

As the Medical Director you will:

  • Evaluate and treat patients in accordance with our medical model and standard of care.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing, certification, and accrediting boards
  • Perform physical, mental status, and medical history examinations; record findings subsequently reviewed and countersigned by supervising physician.
  • Follow patient progress and make changes in treatment as necessary
  • Participate in business development, when requested, to discuss health and safety needs and conduct workplace walk-through and other on-site assessments.
  • Make phone calls daily to client companies and communicate if patient needs to take off of work and length of time, etc.
  • Perform other tasks and duties reasonably requested by the Chief Medical Officer in accordance with Nova Medical Centers’ policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Current State MD or DO Licensure
  • Current State DEA licensure
  • State Controlled Substance Licensure, if required by State Law
  • Current CPR Registration
  • Ability to obtain registration with National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners
  • Experience in UC, ER, FP, Occ Med, or Ortho, preferred
  • Ability to suture a laceration, diagnose orthopedic injuries, read ortho x-rays autonomously, and remove free-floating eye debris
  • Ability to work in a cooperative, fast paced, multidiscipline setting
  • Excellent communication and computer skills
  • Must be able to efficiently enter data into Electronic Medical Records system
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Spanish/English bilingual a PLUS but not required
