The Emergency Medicine Department seeks Full-Time Faculty and GeriatricsEmergency Medicine Physicians!

Faculty EM:

The Emergency Medicine Department is comprised of 6 hospital-based emergency departments in Manhattan, Queens and Brooklyn. There is flexibility to work at both cover at community and academic site (single or multiple sites), and Urgent Care Network. Site assignments will be mutually agreed upon.

The Department of Emergency Medicine is committed to excellence in emergency clinical care, education, and research. Our Department is one of the largest in the country, affiliated with Elmhurst Hospital Center, trauma center, affiliated with Mount Sinai Urgent Care Network & is part of NYC’s public health system. The Emergency Medicine Service Line has more than 200 faculty and treats more than 500K patients annually.

Geriatric EM:

We are seeking an attending physician who is trained in Geriatrics or has operational leadership experience within Geriatrics. This role will function to support leadership and site goals geared toward launching an operative Geriatrics unit within the emergency department. As lead of a Level 1 Geriatric Emergency Medicine Center, you will oversee all Geriatric-related initiatives including building a team of specialists that will ensure all older patients within this unit receive well-coordinated, quality care.

Mount Sinai is a recognized Geriatric ACEP center. Our goal is to provide exceptional patient care and experience for our Geriatric community in the emergency department. You will play a critical part in the creation of a friendly and environmental design for the Geriatrics unit in our department. This position will lead the vision and operational guidance for the construction of this division within ED.

The Department of Emergency Medicine has two EM residencies along with Fellowships in Pediatric EM, Global Health, Ultrasound, Informatics, Sports Medicine, Administration, Simulation, and Research. Each year, our EM training programs educate about 150 residents and more than 15 fellows.

Position Qualifications:
• Medical Degree from an Accredited University
• New York Medical License
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Emergency
• Some experience preferred
• Committed to Mount Sinai and the communities we serve
• Excellent communication, bedside manner and organizational skills
• A strong work ethic and desire to participate in a team-oriented, performance-driven Health System
