Emergency Medicine Physician - Locum - Open Hourly Rate!

Our client is searching for providers who can provide consistent coverage working nights in a high volume, high acuity setting.
Theyre the largest provider of health care services in the region, and are proudly the largest employer in Cerro Gordo County. Their hospital is a private, not-for-profit health care center, licensed for 346 beds, which serves more than 400,000 inpatients and outpatients each year. In addition, theyre a teaching institution. They conduct a Family Medicine Residency, Internal Medicine Residency, Cardiology Fellowship, Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship, and a School of Radiologic Technology.

Position Details

• Trauma Level 2
  
• 250 beds
  
• 33,000 annual visits
  
• Volume: 80-90 per day
  
• Peak shifts/busiest is during 11a - 11p
  
• Transfer out less than 3% of patients
  
• High acuity
  
• EMR: CERNER- firstnet
  
• Midlevel coverage. Our hours are as follows: Physician coverage 24/7 and Double physician coverage 8a-2a
  
• Emergency privileging will be used
  
• 6 weeks credentialing timeframe
  

Compensation and Benefits

• Open hourly rate. You present your desired rate!
  
• Mileage is Reimbursed with possible Hotel Reimbursement
  
  

Schedule

• 12 hour shifts; Days, nights & weekends
  
• December & January coverage for now with ongoing dates (usually get dates 1-2 months in advance)
  
  

Requirements

• Local Providers only
  
• Physician be Required to Supervise mid-levels, residents, & students
  
• ACLS & PALS required through AHA
  
• ATLS required for trauma privileges
  
• Board Certified: ABEM boarded preferred, but not required
  
• Iowa State license Required
  
• Clean background a must
  
• ER boarded ACLS and PALS are waived
  
• Covid Vaccination Required
