Victoria Emergency Associates (VEA) is seeking an Emergency Medicine physician for Medina Regional
Hospital in Hondo, Texas. The community is located 40 miles west of San Antonio via Highway 90. The city was originally inhabited by the Coahuiltecan Native Americans and later settled by peoples from Germany, Belgium and Mexico. It has a unique and vibrant history. Hondo is part of the San Antonio greater metropolitan area.
Since 2002 VEA has been providing Emergency Medicine care for Texas communities. As one of the few remaining physician-owned and managed practice, VEA is proud of its commitment to both urban and rural hospitals.
• Full-time and PRN EM physician opportunity for a Critical Access hospital
• 12-hour shifts with flexible scheduling
• ED with 10,500 annual discharges average. Admissions 4.5%
• ABEM preferred but will consider BC/BE IM/FM with extensive EM experience.
• Specialty Back-up: Surgical OB and Family Medicine. Designated Trauma Team.
• Independent contractor position
• Malpractice coverage
• TX licensed candidates for a quick start preferred.
• Administrative support team facilitates credentialing process with hospital
