Overview:
NMC Health is proud to set a 5-star standard and is currently looking for a permanent Emergency Medicine Physician. NMC Health is a 99-bed not-for-profit hospital in Newton, Kansas, and provides comprehensive care to residents of Harvey and surrounding counties. The hospital, which also includes 10 specialty and primary clinics, is conveniently located at the intersection of I-135 and Highway 50. The ED Physician provides medical services within the scope of licensing, training and credentialing. This position is full-time broad-spectrum emergency medicine and serves a wide variety of conditions. The ideal candidate will manage the delivery of quality patient care in accordance with standards of medical practice, ethics and professionalism. In addition, will direct and supervise assigned clinical staff, while also providing consultation to mid-level extenders. The position includes a competitive salary, benefits such as, but not limited to, medical, retirement and vacation accruals, and an annual CME allotment. NMC Health is looking for candidates who are team players, familiar with quality assurance programs and willing to be actively engaged in improving performance metrics. Coverage need: FT ED coverage three 12 Hr shifts per week, no call. (Hospitalist handles rounding).ED volumes: average 15-20 per 12 hour shifts. 1200 Pts per month Physicians shifts are: 6a - 6p; 6p - 6a. There would also be a mid-level assisting in the ED 12-12 with more coverage weekends.Required Certifications: ATLS, ACLS, PALS.Highly Prefer Board Certified or Board Eligible in FP, ED, or Med/Peds.EMR: Meditech 6.15 As of 1/21/22, NMC Health requires all employees to be vaccinated unless a medical or religious exemption is needed.
