Envision Physician Services is seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians to become part of our prestigious practice at Raulerson Hospital located in Okeechobee, Florida.

Raulerson Hospital is an integral part of the community and the sole hospital provider in Okeechobee County. It has been said that Raulerson Hospital offers what large hospitals can, but in a smaller setting.

ED Features:

• 29,000 ER visits per year
• 11-bed ED, including 3 fast-track
• 20% admission rate
• 24 hours of physician coverage
• 24 hours of APP coverage
• Active partnership with sister facility with a close proximity for Trauma

Qualified candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Primary Care with Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) with at least 24 months of current Emergency Room experience.

Facility Information

Raulerson Hospital is a 100-bed acute care facility providing the community of Okeechobee and the surrounding areas a full range of medical, surgical and emergency services. This Emergency Room is comprised of 11 beds including 3 in fast-track and sees an annual patient volume of 29,000. Raulerson Hospital has an approximate admission rate of 20% and has an active partnership with its sister facility with a close proximity for Trauma, OB, Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery and Pediatric support/transfers. It also provides 24 hours of physician coverage as well as 24 hours of Advanced Practice Professional coverage.

Raulerson Hospital is a Primary Stroke Center and has earned the 2019 Healthgrades 5 Star Treatment Awards for the following conditions: Respiratory Failure, Hip Fracture and Heart Attack. In addition to these awards, has also received Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence Award. The Critical Care Unit, or ICU, was recognized in 2019 as an Honoree in HCA Healthcare's Unit of Distinction Awards for being among the top 10 percent of all HCA Healthcare Critical Care Nursing Units in its achievement of measurable, exemplary performance in the areas of advocacy, leadership, and consistency in nursing practice and operations.
