Envision Physician Services is seeking Full Time Emergency Medicine Physicians to join our team in Sheboygan, WI.

Physician Requirements: ABEM or AOBEM; must be ATLS certified

Facility Information

St. Nicholas Hospital is a full service, non-teaching community hospital that is affiliated with the Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS). They have been serving the Sheboygan community for over a century. The Emergency Department at St. Nicholas Hospital is a beautiful, state of the art facility. Surgical back-up is extensive and willingly available (general, vascular, orthopedics, plastics, ENT, and oral surgery). The ED has state-of-the-art equipment with a new Glide-scope and rapid infuser. St. Nicholas Hospital’s ED consistently receives scores in the 95th percentile from patients and family members’ satisfaction surveys.

Emergency Department:

• 14,000 Annual Volume (high acuity)
• Level III Trauma Center
• 185 in-patient beds
• Physician coverage: 8-hour shifts (7a-3p, 3p-11p, 11p-7a)
• APP coverage: 10a-9:30p weekends and holidays only
• EMR: EPIC
• EMS Medical Direction
• Scribes

Community Information

Sheboygan, Wisconsin is located on the shores of Lake Michigan at the mouth of the Sheboygan River, about 50 miles north of Milwaukee and 64 miles south of Green Bay. It has a population of over 50,000. Sheboygan was founded in 1846, and is well known for its bratwurst. Located in the Harbor Centre, in the heart of Sheboygan, restored historic buildings are home to a variety of diverse casual and fine dining restaurants and pubs, unique stores, bed and breakfast inns, and arts and entertainment. Sheboygan offers an array of opportunities such as golf, boating, fishing, hunting, cross country skiing and hiking trails, parks and beaches, music, theatre, and concerts. It is a popular resort destination, with the nearby, well known Village of Kohler, home of The American Club. Visitors and residents have easy access to Interstate 43, which is the primary north-south transportation route into Sheboygan, while Highway 23 is the primary west route into the city. Sheboygan is served by the Sheboygan County Memorial Airport, which is located several miles from the city. There are excellent schools, including two colleges and the University of Wisconsin-Sheboygan. Once built on industry and trade, Sheboygan has become a great place to live, grow and raise a family.
