Richmond University Medical Center and Mount Sinai have partnered to provide emergency medicine, trauma and critical-care services at RUMC's Emergency Department. A Level I Adult Trauma Center and a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, RUMC's current Emergency Department handles all levels of adult and pediatric trauma. It has designated areas for triage, pediatrics, chest/stroke care, trauma resuscitation, women's health, and urgent care.

Providing treatment to over 50,000 patients annually, the Emergency Department is a Stroke and STEMI treatment center, as well as a Center of Excellence for Sexual Assault Forensic Examiners (SAFE). In November, the hospital’s new Emergency Department will expand upon those services, providing 35,000 square feet of space expanding these services, as well as enhanced specialty areas for pediatrics and urgent care.

Our Emergency Medicine Department seeks Full-Time Emergency Medicine Physicians who are Board Eligible/Certified. In this role, you provide emergency care to our patients during the day and night shifts; preferably from 11 p.m. to 8 a.m.

The Department of Emergency Medicine is committed to excellence in emergency clinical care, education and research. The Mount Sinai Emergency Medicine Department is one of the largest in the country, affiliated with Elmhurst Hospital Center, a trauma center, affiliated with Mount Sinai Urgent Care Network and is part of NYC’s public health system. The Emergency Medicine Service Line has over 200 faculty and treats over 500K patients annually.

Position Qualifications:
  • Medical Degree from an Accredited University
  • Current New York Medical License
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Emergency Medicine
  • Clinical and administrative experience preferred
  • Committed to Mount Sinai and the communities we serve
  • Excellent communication, bedside manner, and organizational skills
  • A strong work ethic and desire to participate in a team-oriented, performance-driven Health System
  • Ability to work all designated night shifts
