As part of OptumCare OnDemand Medicine, the Physician Team Lead-Urgent Care oversees the providers in the assigned Urgent Care site. The Team Lead will also have shared oversight of daily operations, evaluate program performance on an ongoing basis, and will collaborate with department leadership to assess and improve clinical quality and customer service.
The Team Lead will have supervisory and administrative responsibilities, in addition to direct patient care. This role involves working closely with and reporting to the respective Associate Medical Director for that site.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Supervise providers with respect to administrative functions including productivity, patient satisfaction, professional behavior, compliance with medical records and other administrative duties, etc.JAck
- Onboarding and on-going teaching and support for providers at assigned site
- Liaison between OnDemand Medicine division and OptumCare leadership and site providers
- Scheduling providers for entire site and adjusting schedules as needed, reviewing timecards, filling open shifts. Also responsible for attending monthly leadership meetings
- Oversee patient care services, and be first contact person for patient feedback, as well as in policies and procedures issues
- Engage, assess, diagnose, and treat patients presenting for care
- Use sound medical judgment triages and direct patients to alternative levels of care for presenting problem and/or follow-up
- Use resources of the site to engage providers and patients in addressing wellness and gaps in preventive care, in accordance with evidence-based practice and standards of care
- Utilize technology to thoroughly document visits and treatments in a timely and comprehensive manner in accordance with OptumCare, medical group, and regulatory requirements
- Demonstrate and reinforce value of On Demand Medicine services during each visit
- Maintain service level standards for response, visit time, and patient satisfaction, as well as currency with evidence-based practice standards
- Provide clinical triage support to medical group patient services team as needed, as well as staffing support to OptumCare/On Demand Medicine team as needed
- Support and embrace Quadruple Aim of high-quality care, accessible care, controlled costs, and high patient and provider and staff satisfaction
- Support and embrace C-I-Care program

Required Qualifications:
- Board Certified MD or DO in a specialty field of medicine with experience treating all ages
- Unrestricted DEA licenses
- Unrestricted state license in NV or ability to obtain prior to employment
- 3+ years clinical experience in an urgent care setting
- Intermediate level of proficiency in PC-Based work processing, including basic Microsoft Word and Outlook skills
- Proficiency in EMR

Nevada Residents Only: The salary range Nevada residents is 240,100 to $329,800. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement.
