Position Summary
The Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska is recruiting Emergency Medicine physicians to be an integral part of our faculty. The incoming faculty member will join a collegial team of Emergency Medicine physicians that are dedicated to providing extraordinary patient care to all . We are home to a well-established and fully accredited three-year emergency medicine residency program that offers 12 positions per year.
Our hospital partner, Nebraska Medicine is a nationally certified Level I Trauma Center in Nebraska. The Emergency Department is a busy, high acuity ED with an annual census of more than 60,000 patients, excellent physician and advanced practice provider coverage and 24/7 Emergency Medicine resident coverage.
As Nebraska's only public academic health sciences center, UNMC and Nebraska Medicine are committed to the education of a 21st century health care work force, to finding cures and treatments for devastating diseases, to providing the best care for patients, and to serving our state and its communities through award-winning outreach.
The successful candidate must be an MD/DO (or equivalent degree) who is board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine and possess excellent clinical, professional, and communication skills. Preference will be given to candidates with experience and/or has completed fellowship or advanced training.
