Beth Israel Lahey Health/Lahey Hospital and Medical Center ( LHMC: ) is currently seeking an ABEM or ABOEM certified or prepared Per Diem Emergency Medicine Physician with exceptional clinical acumen, well-developed interpersonal skills, and a strong commitment to patient centered care. LHMC: is a Level I Trauma Centerand a 360-bed, Tufts-affiliated teaching hospital consistently recognized as one of the best Academic Medical Centers in the country. The two Emergency Departments average approximately 62,000 patients annually with a high level of acuity and complexity. They are staffed by approximately 34 full time physicians and advanced practitioners with full support from nursing, support staff and scribes. In January 2017 a new state of the art Emergency Medicine Center opened. Here are just a few of the new features that will support exceptional care in the ED:A 45,000-square-foot facility with 43 private rooms, four trauma bays, and a fast-trackAn Emergency Radiology program with Radiologists dedicated to the ER patient imaging with two imbedded CT scanners and x-ray,A behavioral health unit where social workers and psychiatric staff can see patients in a private and safe manner;Close proximity to the surgical ICU and the operating roomA dedicated decontamination unit for patients with chemical and radiation exposure;An ER pharmacy where patients can fill their prescriptions before they leave;For additional information about Lahey, our Emergency Medicine Department and our new Emergency Medicine Center go to: www.lahey.orgBoth ERs are located in very desirable communities approximately 12-15 miles from downtown Boston.
