Practice Description
Fairview Health Services is seeking an Emergency Medicine Casual Physician to join the Emergency Medicine Department at M Health Fairview Lakes Medical Center. Fairview Lakes Medical Center in Wyoming, MN provides award-winning care to the communities northeast of the Twin Cities. We are a Level IV trauma center, providing life-saving treatment to the seriously ill and injured 24 hours a day. Specialty services are available on-site in heart care, cancer care, childbirth, orthopedics, pediatrics and more.This is a casual/moonlighting opportunity and picks up open shifts on an as needed basis.
Practice Details:
- 13 Physicians and 6 APRNs/PAs
- Fairview Lakes Medical Center is a 65 licensed bed facility and 24 bed ED
- Level IV Trauma Center
- Department sees an average of 75 patients per day
- Annual Emergency Department volumes: 28,000
- Approximately 15% of the Emergency Department visits are pediatrics
- Physician shift times are 8-10 hours during the week and 10-12 hours on weekends.APRNs/PAs Coverage 10:00am-6:00pm, M-F
- Fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC)
Income Details:
- $250 per hour
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited ACGME Emergency Medicine training program
- BC/BE with American Board of Medical Specialties or American Osteopathic Association
- Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure
- Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota
- Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges

Vaccination Update
As part of our ongoing efforts to protect the wellbeing of our teams and to provide a safe and healthy environment for the patients and communities we serve, all Fairview employees will be required to receive both an annual flu vaccination and the COVID-19 vaccination series. Current employees must have completed both vaccination schedules on or before October 31, 2021.Beginning August 9, 2021, any new hires who are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 are required to receive their first dose prior to their start date and their second dose (if receiving Moderna or Pfizer vaccines) within 4 weeks of their start date. Annual flu vaccinations are also required before the employment start date for employees who begin employment during the flu season.Accommodations requests will be reviewed on an individual basis.
